On December 5–6, the West University “Vasile Goldiș” of Arad (UVVG) hosted a new edition of the UVVG Winter Cup, a sporting event that has already become a cherished tradition within our university community.

UVVG students competed with energy and enthusiasm in two adrenaline-filled competitions: archery and mini-football. The event was all about youth, good spirits, internationalization, and a true festive atmosphere, with numerous Romanian and international students participating side by side in a spirit of teamwork and friendship.

In moments like these, results take a back seat – what truly matters are the friendships forged, the experiences lived, and the fair play demonstrated on the field and at the shooting range.

Special thanks go to the UVVG administration and, in particular, to the Rector, Prof. Dr. Coralia Adina Cotoraci, for her constant support in organizing student competitions and promoting an active and healthy academic spirit.

We also extend our gratitude to Mr. Mihnea Marșieu, President of the Nexus Archery Club, for the excellent collaboration and involvement in organizing the archery competition; and to UVVG alumni Alin Chișiu, EverBio Manager, and Oana Toma, Notarial Society Toma – remarkable individuals and graduates of our university who enthusiastically support such initiatives.
