The “Vasile Goldiș Western University of Arad, in partnership with the Arad County School Inspectorate is launching the second edition of the general knowledge competition “Duelul Liceelor” by UVVG, an event dedicated to high school students from Arad County. The event will take place on May 5, 2026, at the Sala Polivalentă Arad, starting at 5:00 PM.

This year’s edition highlights not only the competition and the energy of the students, but also the presence in Arad of one of Romania’s most appreciated television personalities, Dan Negru, who will host the event. Known for his dynamic style, charisma, and experience in successful shows, Dan Negru promises to turn “Duelul Liceelor” by UVVG into a true spectacle of knowledge and entertainment.

The competition returns in a dynamic and interactive format, designed to showcase general knowledge, quick thinking, teamwork, and the creativity of young participants.

Teams representing each high school may take part, consisting of 5 students from grades 9–12. Each educational institution may register only one team, coordinated by a teacher responsible for communication with the organizers.

Registration is completed by sending an application to concurs@uvvg.ro by April 3, 2026. A distinctive element of the competition is the creation of a video reel of up to one minute, through which each team promotes its participation.

Following the selection process, 12 teams will be validated, and participation confirmations will be sent by April 10, 2026.

“Duelul Liceelor” does not require a specific bibliography, focusing instead on general knowledge, spontaneity, and teamwork, offering students a modern and engaging competitive environment.

The organizers encourage educational institutions to support students’ participation in this initiative, which promotes excellence, involvement, and a constructive competitive spirit.
